What is maderotherapy?

Maderotherapy is a technique performed with wooden tools of different sizes and shapes that adapt to each part of the body, helping to reduce muscle and joint pain. This technique also has aesthetic purposes because, thanks to the energetic movement of the wooden tools, it can help fight localised fat and cellulite.

This technique is becoming very popular for body contouring, on its own or combined with a diet. Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes. Results begin to be visible from the third session.

In addition, thanks to each technician’s manual massage, it can help drain fluids quickly and effectively.

What are the tools?

At Seena Owell you will find all the tools you need to offer maderotherapy services at your centre.

All the wooden tools we offer come from Colombia and are high quality. These woods come from the Urapán tree, which is the best for this type of tool.

They should always be stored in a dry place to prevent the wood from being damaged. If they are going to be stored, they should always be placed in ventilated plastic containers.

After each use with a patient, they should be cleaned with enzymatic soap or pH-neutral soap to remove any traces of oil, sweat or dirt.

We offer different options: a complete kit or the wooden tools separately. Below, we explain their uses:

• 4-cube roller: Activates blood circulation and the lymphatic system. Helps break down adipocytes.
• Ribbed corn roller: Speeds up the breakdown of localised fat. Perfect for cellulite.
• Bi-spherical roller: Used for pre-warming and body shaping. Also helps reduce sagging.
• Ribbed three-barrel roller: Helps warm the area and mobilise fat. It can also be used with gentle strokes to relax the area.
• Swedish cup: Reduces adiposity and tones. It is necessary to combine its use with the shaping board.
• Mushroom cup: Can be used to relax the area in relaxing massages or to fight cellulite in slimming massages.
• Swedish cup with roller: As it has an inner roller, the movement of localised fat is faster and more effective. It is necessary to combine it with the shaping board.
• Shaping board: Perfect for redirecting fat to the lymph nodes after using any roller or cup.

In addition, we offer a complete facial maderotherapy kit. It includes: 3 rollers (ribbed roller, spherical roller and smooth roller), 1 Swedish cup, 1 mushroom cup and 1 shaping board. These tools help natural collagen and elastin production, achieving a facial lifting effect.
