The galvanic function works with direct current and allows switching between import and export mode. According to the official product description, the negative pole is used for desincrustation, helping to soften and liquefy the build-up of sebum in the follicles of oily skin, while also stimulating circulation in dry skin. The positive pole is used for ionisation, enhancing the penetration of active ingredients from creams or solutions, helping to tighten pores after the treatment and reduce redness after treating acne, spots and blemishes.

High frequency uses interchangeable electrodes to adapt the treatment to different areas and needs. The mushroom electrode is suitable for larger areas such as the face, forehead and neck. The spoon or tongue electrode is intended for medium-sized or delicate areas. The ball or pinpoint electrode is used on small areas, such as the nose, and around pustules or localised imperfections. The straight electrode is intended for indirect treatment and, according to the manufacturer’s technical sheet, is the recommended option for use with cosmetics as it promotes skin vascularisation.

The mushroom electrode is placed on the area to be treated, and the intensity should be increased according to the client’s sensory threshold, followed by a micromassage. In the case of the pinpoint electrode, its use is described around pustules, spots or acne, first to soften the area and then, using gauze over the area, to work flat with a bactericidal effect and support for the healing and cauterisation of pustules. Application on open areas should be limited to 3 to 5 seconds.
