Why Maderotherapy Can't Be Missing From Your Beauty Salon

Por qué la maderoterapia no puede faltar en tu centro de belleza

Summer is just around the corner and, although this year will undoubtedly be unusual due to the whole situation caused by Covid-19, we can't give up on sculpting our clients' bodies.

Additionally, the full lockdown we experienced for more than 2 months has taken its toll on many people due to lack of physical activity and long hours of remote work.

That's why it's important to offer our clients effective treatments that help them recover, and one of these treatments is maderotherapy, which we'll talk about today.

What is maderotherapy

Maderotherapy is a massage technique that comes from Eastern medicine and involves applying a body or facial massage using wooden tools, allowing for complete body remodelling.

The different shapes and sizes of these tools allow the massage to be applied with more or less intensity, as well as adapting it to different parts of the body.

Nowadays, this type of massage can be practised on virtually the whole body: legs, abdomen, waist, flanks, back and arms, as well as on the face and part of the neck (double chin).

One of the great advantages of this treatment is that it's completely natural, since it's performed with wooden tools and is non-invasive.

What are its benefits for our clients

It's a much more intense and deep massage than one performed with the hands alone. Applied at body level, it's a perfect treatment for:

  • Reducing fat and cellulite.
  • Activating blood and lymphatic circulation.
  • Reducing contour and shaping the figure.
  • It has a draining and toning effect on the skin.
  • Since it acts on the muscles, it also achieves a relaxing effect.
  • It gives the skin an extra boost of hydration.
  • It stimulates energy balance.

Facial maderotherapy

In the case of facial maderotherapy, it's a perfect complement to rejuvenating treatments:

  • It has firming and toning effects.
  • It also activates blood and lymphatic circulation in the face, helping improve the skin's appearance.
  • It boosts collagen and elastin production.
  • It also acts on the facial muscles, providing tone and reducing sagging.

In most cases, results start to show from the first session, and it's a treatment that can be adapted to each client's needs.

Why include this treatment at your beauty salon

On one hand, it's a treatment that's very trendy among celebrities and influencers. It's also highly sought after for being non-invasive and because everything related to the Eco world, contact with Nature and natural products like wood is trending.

On the other hand, it's a very profitable treatment: maximum benefit, low cost, since you only need:

  1. A complete set of good quality maderotherapy tools that you'll use in every service.
  2. A massage oil with reducing and firming properties, which, besides making the massage easier, will help intensify the treatment's results and hydrate the skin.

Although some results start to show from the first session, several sessions are usually needed to complete the treatment, as well as monthly maintenance sessions, which will increase the number of visits to your salon, as well as sales.

Since it's a non-invasive treatment, it considerably reduces the reluctance some people have towards certain aesthetic treatments.

Regarding staff:

  • Specialised training is needed to learn not only how to use each of the tools, but also how to perform the massage, depending on the results you want to achieve.
  • Thanks to the use of these tools, the physical effort of manual massages is reduced.

Maderotherapy prices

Finally, you often ask us about the prices to charge for these services. As we always say, there are many factors that can affect how you price a service (area, sector, cost, etc.).

However, for the maderotherapy service, we recommend a price of between €30 and €55 per 45-minute session. In this case, it's highly recommended to offer packages with several sessions as a complete treatment at a lower price, along with individual sessions for maintenance.

Remember that at Seena Owell we also offer specialised training for beauty industry professionals. Don't hesitate to contact us.

We hope you found the content of this post interesting, don't hesitate to contact us if you need additional information about the product or the professional training we mentioned in the previous paragraph.
