Both products have several uses in the service. We recommend combining both. In any eyelash extension service you need to place a patch to cover the lower lashes, but a lash always slips through. Tape is used to cover stray lashes. Using a patch makes your work easier because you can rest the tweezers used to separate the natural lash without poking your client. Also, many patches on the market contain gels and active ingredients to relax the area and provide the client with a very pleasant effect. Patches also serve as a guide when performing the eyelash extension service; you can mark the lengths and curls for each area.

As you already know, on the market you can find many different thicknesses of eyelash extensions. For the classic technique we recommend using 0.15 thickness since it's the closest to the thickness of the natural lash. For clients with blonde and very fine lashes we recommend working with 0.10 thickness so their natural lash better withstands the weight of the extension. For the Russian volume technique it's a broader topic. To work up to 4D you should use 0.07 thickness. If you want to make fans with more hairs you need to go down in thickness on the extensions. For example, with 0.06 or 0.05 you can work up to 8D.

Glue, together with the make-up remover and the Primer, is going to be one of the products that determines the success of your work. On the market there are different types of glue for different techniques since each one has a different consistency, drying time and adhesive power. We recommend that, before buying a glue, you thoroughly research its characteristics. On the market you'll find countless glues, but not all of them meet the appropriate conditions for working. Many of them contain components harmful to health, so we encourage you to ask the distributor you buy from. All cosmetic products such as glues must have special documentation and must be registered on the European Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP). If a glue is registered on this Portal, it's because it doesn't contain any hazardous components. This way you can work safely. At Seena Owell we have all our products' CPNP registration numbers. There are glues intended for professionals just starting out in the world of eyelash extensions; these glues tend to be denser and take longer to dry, giving the beginner time to place the extension and correct its position if needed. This is possible because the starter glue air-dries. This type of glue usually gives a margin of 10 seconds in terms of drying time. It's important to keep in mind that, with this type of glue, the lifespan of the eyelash extensions is reduced. This is also a positive aspect for people who are starting to practise, so they also learn how to perform eyelash extension fill-ins. We also have a fast-drying glue (2-3 seconds) with a liquid consistency for classic technique work. This glue does have fumes, so you must always work with your eyes closed. If we do, we can cause anything from eye pokes, allergies, eye problems, natural lash loss and countless things a professional must avoid. Working professionally is our responsibility.
