We used to think
eyelash extensions were something only Hollywood actresses had, but that's a thing of the past — they're becoming more common every day. Now any woman can have a fantastic look with natural, spectacular lashes. The key is to create a look with
natural eyelash extensions that makes her feel fabulous. To do that, we need to keep the following in mind:
Variety
To create your own set you can choose between curl, thickness and length. At Seena Owell we offer curls A, B, C and D. Thicknesses from 0.05 to 0.25 and lengths from 8 mm to 15 mm. We have extensions in a matte finish (called Soft Premium) and with shine (called Soft Twinkle). With all of them you can create anything from a classic look to a
Russian volume look. We also offer Blossom extensions, which resemble mink extensions at a much lower cost with a practically identical effect. And Y and W extensions to give a quick volume to our more impatient clients.
Know the curl of the natural lash
Knowing the
curl of the natural lash allows us to assess our options. In Spain the best-selling curl is B, closely followed by C. We should always look for a curl similar between the extension and the natural lash.
Create texture with eyelash extensions
There are
three phases in which we'll find our clients' lashes:
anagen (the growth phase of the lash from its birth),
catagen (when the lash reaches its maximum length, lasting about 3 weeks in this phase) and
telogen (the lash will soon fall out because a new one is about to grow). We should only place eyelash extensions on lashes that are in the catagen phase, although it's difficult to tell apart the ones in the catagen phase from those in the telogen phase. To
create a natural look we'll try to choose extension lengths similar to the client's own lashes (a maximum of 2 mm more than the length of the natural lashes is recommended), creating texture. This means applying, within the same look, short and long lashes of different curls to create a natural look.
